City Harvest

Forty years ago, City Harvest helped start the food rescue movement. Today, City Harvest continues to see the tremendous impact food rescue has on our community.  

Neighbors across New York City rely on City Harvest to help fill their plates with fresh, nutritious food. This year, City Harvest will rescue nearly 83 million pounds of food and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries and soup kitchens across the five boroughs to help feed New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.

Coalition for the Homeless

The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless individuals and families. We believe that affordable housing, sufficient food and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights in a civilized society. Since its inception in 1981, the Coalition has worked through litigation, public education and direct services to ensure that these goals are realized.

WNYC - New York Public Radio

WNYC is a non-commercial public radio station, licensed to New York, New York. It is one of the primary outlets for WNYC branded programming provided by the non-profit New York Public Radio. WNYC has a local news team of 60 journalists, producers, editors, and other broadcasting professionals, making it a vital community resource. WNYC broadcasts the programming from National Public Radio (NPR), American Public Media, Public Radio Exchange, and the BBC World Service, as well as a wide range of award-winning local programming.
