The Plaza Hotel (New York) was sold in 2004, then closed for renovation between 2005 and 2008. On 15 March 2006 Christie’s held a sale of artifacts and objects including dinnerware that were divided into a variety of lots.
This lot of 12 dinner plates with the Plaza logo, and two additional serving plates (not shown here, and in poor condition), were found with a dealer on the Upper West Side.
